Getting Started

Connect your Meta Quest to your PC
Power on your Muse EEG headband
Launch BioSyncVR using the provided batch file
Choose your environment and session duration

About the Project

BioSyncVR was developed by a team of Computer Engineering students at the University of Florida, combining expertise in virtual reality, signal processing, and mindfulness applications to create a unique meditation experience.

BioSyncVR Installation Guide

System Requirements

Windows 10 or later
VR-Ready PC
Meta Quest VR Headset (any model)
Muse EEG Headband
Minimum 2GB free disk space

Installation Steps

Download the BioSyncVRBuild.zip file
Right-click the zip file and select "Extract All..."
Choose a destination folder for extraction
Open the extracted folder

Running the Application

Ensure your Meta Quest is connected to your PC
Turn on your Muse EEG headband
Double-click the launch.bat file in the extracted folder
The application will automatically:
- Initialize the EEG connection
- Start the signal processing
- Launch the VR environment

Troubleshooting

If the VR environment doesn't start, check that your Meta Quest is properly connected to your PC
If you get an EEG connection error, ensure your Muse headband is turned on and has sufficient battery
For any other issues, try closing all applications and running launch.bat again

First-Time Setup

The first time you run the application, Windows may show security warnings. This is normal:

If prompted by Windows Defender, click "More Info"
Select "Run Anyway"

For optimal experience, place the Muse headband on your forehead before running launch.bat.
